Mark Uhrmacher is the Head of Digital Transformation and Chief Technology Officer at GrowthCurve Capital. Mark has 26 years of experience across a broad set of technology-enabled companies in senior technology roles. Most recently, Mark was an Executive Director with EY-Parthenon’s Software Strategy Group lead Technical and Product Due Diligence and Value Creation projects on software economy companies on behalf of Private Equity sponsors.
Before EY-Parthenon, Mark completed a four-year engagement with Hearst as SVP of Software Engineering for the Business Media Division, a collection of B2B information assets and SaaS platforms in the Healthcare, Transportation, and Finance verticals. Reporting to the divisional President, Mark’s responsibilities included business unit technology governance, architectural review, internal consulting, and tech diligence on >$2.5BB of acquisitions.
Previously, Mark co-founded and served as CTO of ideeli, an e-commerce website which in five years received more than $100 million in investments, grew to 6 million members with $100 million in revenue, and was ranked No. 1 in the Inc 500 list. At ideeli, Mark managed design and deployment of all technology within the company, including consumer-facing website and business support software.
Prior to co-founding ideeli, Mark held senior roles at Expert Foods, DoubleClick, NetGravity and Oracle. He earned his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT and was selected to attend Hearst Management Institute, an internal executive management program at Hearst.
